Location: Gozo, Malta | Full-Time | €2,000–€2,500 gross per month

The Grand Hotel Gozo is looking for an experienced, passionate and career-oriented Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping operation and play a key role in maintaining the high standards and guest experience of our hotel.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is ready to take ownership, lead a team and develop their career within a well-established hotel environment in Gozo, Malta.

The Opportunity

As Executive Housekeeper, you will take responsibility for the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation, efficiency and guest satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Hotel Management and other Heads of Department, playing an important role in the overall Rooms Division operation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, motivate and develop the Housekeeping team, creating a professional and positive working environment.
2. Oversee the daily cleaning and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.
3. Ensure consistent housekeeping standards through regular inspections and quality-control procedures.
4. Plan staffing levels, rotas, workload distribution and departmental priorities.
5. Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen, uniforms and departmental costs.
6. Work closely with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure rooms are prepared efficiently and maintenance issues are followed up promptly.
7. Implement and maintain effective housekeeping procedures, standards and checklists.
8. Train and coach team members to continuously improve performance and guest satisfaction.
9. Support the Hotel Management team with operational improvements and departmental projects.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

1. Experienced in a Housekeeping supervisory or management role within a hotel environment.
2. A natural leader with strong organisational and communication skills.
3. Hands-on, proactive and able to take ownership of the department.
4. Passionate about cleanliness, standards and delivering an excellent guest experience.
5. Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
6. Confident managing teams, priorities and operational challenges.
7. Career-oriented and looking for long-term professional development.
8. Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
9. Available to relocate to Gozo, Malta where applicable.
